Trip to Vienna and Prague

Wien Leuchetet 2015 – Projections on Vienna’s Natural History Museum

Two weeks ago I decided to make a road trip to Vienna, it was quite a random decision but I knew that if I think about it too much it will never happen. I left at 12 o’clock from Sibiu and I arrived in Vienna at around 9 PM the same day. It is the longest drive I’ve ever had and it felt surprisingly short, but that’s maybe because I love driving and listening to my favourite music.

I stayed for five days and in one of them we made a little day-long road trip to Prague. It’s only a few hours away from Vienna so it is worth visiting if you are staying in Vienna for a longer period. Prague was just beautiful, we wandered around the Old Town for a while and I managed to take some pictures I’m proud of, this time I carried a tripod the whole time, and even though it was a pain in the ass, it really paid off.

While I was in Vienna, I found out there is an Edvard Munch exhibition taking place at the Albertina Museum called “Love, Death and Loneliness” I knew I had to go there at all costs! Munch is one of my favourite artists of all time, there is something about his work that I find emotionally striking and so is the title of the exhibition.

It was really nice to see Vienna again, it’s my third time there and I can’t wait to go back, it’s a warm city that will never bore you because there is always something new to see.
